Silver dryad

+ What types of entertainment do you provide?

We provide three entertainment formats:
1) Atmospheric or “ambient” entertainment is designed for guests to experience as they wander and socialize. It is generally performed to the music of the event (such as a DJ, or band)and might be set up in a single location or involve roving/strolling through a crowd. Artists entertain in "sets" with breaks in between. The length and number of sets an artist can perform is dependent on several factors. Expect longer sets for stiltwalkers, mermaids, and living statues, and shorter ones for acrobats, fire performers, and aerialists.
2) Feature stage acts are designed to be seen by everyone all at once. They are typically 3-7 minutes in length and fully choreographed to the artist’s own music.
3) Full stage shows are between 15-45 minutes in length. Most shows feature multiple performers.

+ When should I book performing artists for my luxury event?

As early as you can. It's ideal to coordinate performance artists around the same time you might book your florist or band.

For weddings, we recommend booking 6 months to a year in advance. For New Year's Eve, we recommend 6 months' notice as artist availability becomes increasingly limited leading up to NYE.

"Rush bookings" are any events contracted with less than 2 weeks' notice. Our standard rush fees are 25%.

For events outside the United States, Canada, and Mexico, we currently prefer at least 4 weeks notice.

+ What are your rates?

All our pricing is custom based on the details of your event. While some companies offer price menus, we choose not to because our clients’ needs are very diverse, and costs can vary widely based on exactly what you’re looking for. Prices start at $1,000 and up. When you request a consultation, we learn as much as we can about your event and put together a quote specifically for you.

+ Why do you ask for a budget?

It helps us get you what you want on a faster timeline. Why waste time on ideas that don't fit within your budget goals?

+ Do you have insurance?

Yes, all our artists carry specialty liability insurance.

+ What are your Covid19 precautions?

Our specialty performers and staff are vaccinated, we provide portable HEPA filters for ready spaces, and we can provide extra fabulous mask options to match our costumes upon request.

+ I want someone to perform to a particular song. Is that possible?

Yes. Please place requests for custom choreography as soon as possible, and no later than 4 weeks in advance.

+ How much space is required?

Most of our performing artists require higher than average ceilings and at least enough space to swing a golf umbrella around without hitting anything. However, it’s variable. Fire artists and aerialists need a lot more space than stiltwalkers, for example. We're happy to chat with you about the specifics of your venue.

+ Is it real fire?

Yes (unless it’s the fire graphics on our custom LED pixel props!)

+ Can I host a fire performance indoors?

Maybe! We strongly encourage event planners to choose outdoor locations whenever possible. However, we can perform fire indoors in select locations that meet our safety specifications, and when the venue and fire department permit it.

+ Is total darkness necessary for fire?

Nope. In fact, we think fire looks best around sunset, when it’s dark enough for the flames to look especially dramatic, but light enough to see performers’ expressions and costumes. Plus, fire photos against a colorful sky are awesome! For late-night fire shows, we suggest lighting the space enough to see movements and facial expressions clearly.

+ What kind of images can be programmed into the glow props?

Just about anything. Relatively clear vector images with a lot of contrast, such as logos, tend to look especially good.

+ Can I have an aerialist at my venue?

If your venue has high enough ceilings, you probably can. We just have to settle on the right rigging option. We offer a few different options, such as an aerial lollipop (great for tighter spaces like restaurants) and various freestanding aerial rigs. The advantage of these is that they’re affordable, easy to set up, and incredibly versatile. They can be set up anywhere with enough flat ground and appropriate overhead clearance, and they support most common aerial apparatuses. If you want an aerialist to rig directly from your building, we’d be happy to have a structural engineer who specializes in aerial rigging evaluate the building and present some options for temporary or permanent aerial points.

+ Who are your previous clients?

We love our clients! We work behind the scenes with event planners and large entertainment providers as well as directly with private individuals and corporations. Some you might recognize include Facebook, Swatch, General Electric, Konica Minolta, The M. Night Shyamalan Foundation, The Boston Red Sox, MGM, Hendrick’s Gin, Maker’s Mark, Red Bull, Ferrari, Porsche, Mohegan Sun, House of Blues, Markel, Slack, Cyber Ark, Mimecast, Amgen, Beyond Protocol, MIT, Encore Boston Harbor, Turning Stone Resort, The New York Botanical Garden, Provincetown Carnival, and Waterfire Providence.

+ Can I join your roster?

We value diversity and are committed to sustainable rates. We encourage anyone who may be interested in joining our roster to apply with their materials to ember@goldarrowllc.com. Ambient performers should send one or two 15-minute long videos with no edits (costume/makeup not necessary).
